What a troll and fun game to play. As I started the game, the game gave me a lot of hints as it was loading. Telling me to stay in stealth, avoid the tiger and all. As it starts I am staring into a wall with the main menu on it. Gee game nice start. Standing in the loading bay it sounded the title of the game is more of a play and experience rather then an actual game.
The narrator sounds like he has a lot on his plate while being short on staff. So how when u appear, he goes on a full crisis mode saying not another player. So its pretty obvious the game is playing with metafiction and it does well at that. The convincing way how the narrator asks me to just jump in and join the crew. To help him out in the background to give the other “player” a proper experience.
Through my first playthrough I tried to disobey the narrator. In doing so I did activate a few extra thing like laser and I turned off something, something I did not quite get what it did. I eventually followed the narrator to the end and the game ends with me entering the dark space while another “player” shows up and takes my place in the backstage.
The second time I wanted to follow the narrator properly and as see if there would be change in the outcome. By mistake I picked up a tape recorder. So now something new opened up to me. I still wanted to follow the narrator and see if there would be any variation but there wasn't or not anything I caught.
In the third playthrough I went hunting for the tape recorders and they felt so random. If they were Easter eggs what were they meant for. What did it hint at. At the end of the game I was confused. But I loved the idea and it game me an idea for a multi player game.
